Marlboro College is at imminent risk of closing forever. The college has proposed an alliance with Emerson College which would close Marlboro’s campus, eliminate ¾ of the jobs, and gift away Marlboro’s endowment, proceeds of sale of the campus, and even treasured collections in its archives. Marlboro has existed for almost 75 years, due to the creativity and investment of time, money, and sweat equity of generations of Marlboro residents, students, staff, and faculty and other friends of the college.
How much time is there? It’s not too late! The merger proposal and campus sale is currently in regulatory review by the Attorney General and is expected to be completed on or before July 23rd.
How can you help? Send a letter to the Attorney General today. Not sure how? Details here
What would take the place of the merger? A grassroots reset and recommitment to a sustainable Marlboro College on Potash Hill.
